AYAZEIN - Arabic - slow or fast ayoob (2 beat) or maqsum rhythm - very versatile

LEYLA- Arabic - medium maqsum changes to malfuf - another George Abdo piece
RUMELI KARSILAMASI - Turkish - medium karsilama (9 beat) rhythm
ROMPI ROMPI - Turkish - medium or fast (or Miabella speed) karsilama
EFEM - Turkish - medium or slow sambati (4 beat) rhythm - this one sounds best

bolero - very beautiful piece
MOORISH DANCE - not sure of origin - medium maqsum - very nice piece
NIHAVENT LONGA - Turkish - fast malfuf - this piece flies - fast and fun
ISTEMEM BABACIM - Turkish - medium malfuf - I was told this piece was about a
girl who was mad at her father for not letting her date whom she wants.
Evidently "Istemem" is not a very nice word in Turkish(?).
USKUDARA - Turkish - medium to fast ayoob
ADIO QUERIDA - Sephardic - slow rhumba or bolero - Spanish style piece - very
beautiful
YESHILIM - Turkish - medium ayoob
GAROON GAROON - Armenian - medium-fast ayoob changing to maqsum and back to ayoob - Very cute piece. It's about a girl who says which ever boy holds the
black bean, will be her lover. Reminiscent of the (sp) Enie Menie Minie Mo song.

Our oud player has a list of others as well which I don't have access to at this
time, but are available.
